Deskripsi

The Business Analyst supports the Manager Corporate Business Development in managing the full commercial dimension of BEC’s 2 MTPA coal-to-methanol project as it moves from EPC preparation into EPC execution. The role combines commercial and financial analysis — including ownership of the project financial model — with front-line engagement of external counterparties, and with the management of internal stakeholder interfaces so that shareholders, the Board, and project management receive accurate reporting on time.

Key Accountabilities:
A. Commercial Analysis and Financial Modelling

  • Maintain the project financial model — capital cost, operating cost, feedstock, methanol and by-product pricing, financing structure, and fiscal facilities also keep it aligned with the cost estimate as it matures from BFS level towards FEED-grade accuracy.
  • Run scenario and sensitivity analysis on the variables that drive project economics
  • Support the negotiation and administration of the commercial terms of project agreements, compare against owner’s cost estimate and market benchmarks, and preparation of the evaluation and recommendation papers for the Board’s decision. B. External Engagement and Partnership Development
  • Act as the first point of contact and day-to-day coordinator for prospective partners, investors, lenders, offtakers, and technology or service providers — managing confidentiality undertakings, information requests, and the flow of information through the data room.
  • Prepare external-facing materials: teasers, information memoranda, presentation decks, fact sheets, and question-and-answer packs.
  • Support engagement with government and institutional stakeholders — in coordination with Legal and Permitting Department— by preparing materials and maintaining follow-up records. C. Internal Stakeholder Interface and Timely Reporting
  • Serve as the interface between Corporate Business Development and the project delivery functions — Engineering, Project Controls, Contract and Procurement, Finance and Tax, Legal, and Permitting — ensuring commercial implications of technical decisions are surfaced early.
  • Own the recurring internal reporting cycle end to end: weekly commercial update, monthly management report, Board papers, and shareholder or steering committee packs.
  • Maintain a single reporting calendar showing cut-off dates, required inputs, responsible persons, and distribution lists.
  • Prepare board papers, shareholder approval papers, and meeting minutes; log the resulting action items and track them to closure.
  • Maintain orderly version control and filing of all commercial documents, so that the latest approved version of any figure or document can be identified without ambiguity.
  • Support the annual budget cycle, corporate calendar, and management reporting system as BEC transitions into an execution organization.
